The first month in 2005

Florian and I, who decided to go in for Jugend forscht this year, still have plenty of work to do. Even though we finally brought our extensive documentation, containing of four times seventeen pages (which made a total of 68 pages to be printed on our ink jet printers), to the P.O. today, we cannot stop to work on our project right at the very moment. Yet there's much of the practical part left. Still did we do a great step forward.

The last weeks were hard ones, indeed. Not only did this "documentation writing" mess up my whole day structure for those several weeks now, but also, as you may have noticed, lead it to me not having time to write articles for 4momo any longer. I'm all but happy with the current situation of 4momo.
Furthermore, I must have hurt myself in such a damn stupid manner, that I haven't been able to recall how it happened from the point on I'd found out that it happened. Which I actually concluded from the fact that every time I moved my right shoulder out of a small range of possible angles, I instantly had to stop the moving. This couldn't prevent me from playing table tennis, which was bad, because I now somehow assume it'd have cured faster if I hadn't played. Surprisingly enough, when I played yesterday evening, I noticed the pain had gone.

My plans for the nearer future are to extend the BackfL script and release it on SourceForge (supporters needed). I'll work on double buffer implementation for Torsmo, promised. Then there is the scanner and printer problem, which is merely solved, at least I hope so. And, finally, I sortof ought to increase my daily sleep time by a factor larger than 1.3.
1. Nachtrag am 22. Januar 2005 um 16:06 Uhr: Oh, they have already double buffer support in the latest version of Torsmo. That is, pretty good. Start with -b.
